Terms of Service: One Brief

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using One Brief ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Platform.

These Terms apply to all users of the Platform, including partners, associates, clients, and any other individuals who access the service.

2. Description of Service

One Brief is a practice management platform designed for law firms. The Platform provides tools for case management, task tracking, billing, team coordination, and client communication through role-based portals.

3. Account Registration

To use the Platform, you must register for an account and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this obligation.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the Platform in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform or its related systems
• Transmit any harmful, offensive, or disruptive content
• Use the Platform to infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Platform

5. Subscription and Billing

Access to the Platform requires a paid subscription. Pricing is based on your firm's size and usage requirements as agreed at the time of onboarding. Subscription fees are billed monthly or annually, as selected.

All fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law. We reserve the right to change subscription fees upon reasonable notice.

6. Data Ownership

You retain ownership of all data you enter into the Platform, including case information, client data, and firm records. We do not claim any ownership rights over your data.

You grant One Brief a limited licence to process and store your data solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

7. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including its software, design, content, and trademarks, is owned by One Brief and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the Platform without our prior written consent.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, One Brief shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Platform.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate the service agreement with reasonable written notice. Upon termination, you may export your data for 30 days following the termination date, after which it may be deleted from our systems.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
