End-to-End Encryption

All data in transit is encrypted via TLS. Data at rest is encrypted using AES-256, the same standard trusted by banks and financial institutions.

Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)

Every user's access is strictly scoped to their role. Partners see the full firm. Associates see only their assigned cases. Clients see only their own matters, nothing more.

Automated Backups on AWS

Your data is backed up automatically on AWS with point-in-time recovery. Your firm's records are safe even in the event of hardware failure or accidental deletion.

One Brief is built around three role-specific portals:

  • Partner Portal: Your command centre. See all active cases, associate workloads, billing status, and today's hearings in real time.
  • Associate Portal: A prioritised view of tasks, personal schedule, assigned cases, and team communication tools.
  • Client Portal: Secure access to case status, documents, upcoming appointments, and billing history. No more chasing email updates.

Each case in One Brief has a dedicated record containing all relevant details: court information, hearing history, associated documents, assigned associates, and billing data. Partners can view all cases at once; associates see the cases assigned to them; clients see only their own matters. Tasks and hearing dates are automatically surfaced in each user's daily overview.
Yes. The Partner Portal includes associate management tools that show you each associate's active cases, task completion status, attendance, and court appearances. You get a real-time picture of who is doing what, without having to ask.
Yes. One Brief includes direct links to all Indian High Court websites and cause list pages. You can also generate a formatted daily cause list on your firm's letterhead directly from the platform, in one click.

💰 Billing & Finance

One Brief's billing module allows you to track time, log fees, manage outstanding balances, and record payments against each client and case. Partners get a full financial overview across the firm. Clients can see their billing history and payment status through the Client Portal. Detailed financial reports can be generated on demand.

🔐 Security & Privacy

All data stored in One Brief is encrypted at rest and in transit using industry-standard TLS and AES-256 encryption. Your data is hosted on AWS infrastructure with automated backups and high availability. We do not share client data with any third party and we do not use your firm's data for any purpose other than delivering the service to you.
RBAC in One Brief means that every user sees only the data they are explicitly permitted to access. Associates can only view the cases assigned to them. Clients can only see their own matters, documents, and billing information. Partners have full visibility. This access model is enforced at the data layer, not merely in the interface, so it cannot be bypassed.

🚀 Getting Started

Getting started begins with a 30-minute demo where we walk through the platform and understand your firm's structure. From there, our team handles the initial setup: configuring your portals, onboarding your team, and migrating any existing data. Most firms are up and running within a week.
Yes. One Brief is currently in beta. This means we are working closely with a select group of firms to refine the platform before a full launch. Beta customers get early-adopter pricing, direct access to our team, and significant influence over the product roadmap. Get in touch to learn more.
All One Brief plans include guided onboarding, email support, and chat support. During the beta period, customers also get direct access to our team for questions, feedback, and feature requests. We aim to respond to all support queries within one business day.
Yes. We support data migration from spreadsheets, legacy software, and other practice management tools. Our team will guide you through the migration process at no additional cost. We take care to ensure that your existing records are preserved accurately and that your team can hit the ground running from day one.
